Las Vegas Lucy Style

I obviously don't do Vegas like a normal person.  I arrived on the strip at 9:30 which isn't a very usual time.  I walked up and down the strip going into many of the hotel casinos.  The Bellagio has a huge section of ceiling done by Chihuly.  It is one of his multi-colored works.  I'm not very fond of them because the illusion turns them muddy.  While at the Bellagio I went to the Fine Art Gallery to see a show on Monet and the development of Impressionism.  It was a small but nice show, I've  been claiming senior so long now I knee jerk claim senior for everything.  Well after I said senior for the ticket to the Gallery I saw that it was 65 and up.  For a few months I wasn't going to correct the error.

I spent 5 hours walking the strip.  Paris was very attractive, what with the Eiffel Tower and its big Hot Air Balloon.  Monte Carlo was nothing much to look at.  It was fancy but didn't stand out.  New York, New York almost made me homesick.  When I saw the Brooklyn Bridge it broke my heart.  It is my favorite thing of all about New York.  The Chrysler Building is probably my second.

The interesting thing about the day was that there was no huffing and puffing.  Put me on pavement and I can still walk forever.  It is incredibly hot in Las Vegas.  Yesterday was in the 90s and I suspect today was also.

The highlight of my day is I got to do my laundry.  I know the Strip should be seen at night to get the full effect but I really don't feel like fighting crowds to crawl through traffic to see the hotels lit up.  I have certainly seen enough movies and TV shows.
